• Deere in the Dirt Days

  Climb in the driver’s seat and test the latest and greatest John Deere equipment. Join us for a delicious lunch of brats, burgers, salads, chips & more. Talk face to face with John Deere factory representatives. Learn more about JDLink and the latest Top Con laser technology. • Open House

  An Open House celebrating John Deere’s 175 Anniversary was held on Friday, March 30 at our Chippewa Falls location. All in attendance enjoyed a day of hands-on operation of the latest John Deere equipment, lunch and raffle prizes.

• Governor Walker Visits Nortrax

  Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker stopped by our branch in Chippewa Falls, WI on March 1st. Walker told an audience of Nortrax employees and customers that a new proposed iron ore mine, southwest of Hurley in northern Wisconsin, could create 2,300 new jobs and mean an additional $1.5 billion for Wisconsin’s economy. Florida-based Gogebic Taconite seeks to invest $1.5 billion in the mine site, provided the company can be assured a reasonable time frame (one year) in the approval process.

  Walker met with Nortrax Vice President Tim Murphy, Chippewa Falls General Manager Eric Brosted and employees of the sales and product support team before his general address. Areas of discussion centered around issues the company and the industry faced in their construction, forestry and mining markets. Walker has been a strong supporter of these industries, as they all have the great potential to contribute to the Governor’s job growth initiative. “Most of the contractors in these industries are small businesses,” Walker pointed out. “That just happens to be where the vast majority of jobs are created in this state, and anything we can do to encourage investment and remove burdens from our small business leaders is something we will continue to try and do.”

  On behalf of the Nortrax employees and customers at the event, Murphy presented Governor Walker with a John Deere hard hat, and a shirt commemorating John Deere’s 175th year in business. Walker’s reaction was predictably, “Nothing runs like a Deere!”

• In the Community

  Many thanks to the Nortrax team members and their families from our Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls branches for volunteering at the St. Francis Food Pantry. The team decked out in John Deere 175 year anniversary t-shirts stocked shelves and re-packaged goods for the pantry. Along with their time and talent contribution a financial gift raised by the Nortrax team was given to the pantry to assist those in our communities who struggle to purchase basic necessities.

  We work diligently to create a culture of safety. Our safety initiatives include: utilizing best practices from specific dealers and regions; developing training partnerships; obtaining additional safety certifications; and expanding our wellness campaign. Many years of focusing efforts on safety and wellness has made Nortrax one of the safest construction and forestry dealerships in North America. In making safety our first priority, not only is Nortrax able to send each employee home safely every day, we are also able to serve our customers more productively and efficiently.
